About

Who I Am

I’m Eric Gene Davis, a Christian author, disabled Air Force veteran, husband, and fellow traveler on the road of faith. I’m not a pastor, priest, or Bible scholar. I’m an ordinary man who has walked through hard seasons, wrestled with difficult questions, and discovered that God’s grace is often most visible when life doesn’t go according to plan. My writing is for people who want honest encouragement rooted in Scripture and practical for everyday life.

Why I Write

I write because I know what it’s like to need hope on an ordinary Tuesday. Not the polished kind of hope that ignores reality, but the kind that helps us keep putting one foot in front of the other. Through devotionals, articles, videos, and books, I aim to offer biblical encouragement that is thoughtful, authentic, and grounded in the truth of God’s Word. My goal is simple: to help readers grow closer to Christ and find courage for the journey ahead.

Still North Devotion

Still North Devotion is more than a website. It’s a growing community of people seeking faith, wisdom, and encouragement in a noisy world. Through weekly videos, devotionals, and free resources, I share lessons from Scripture and everyday life that point us back to Christ. Whether you’re thriving, struggling, or somewhere in between, you’re welcome here.
